What is Manufacturing Day?

Manufacturing Day has been designed to expand knowledge about and improve general public perception of manufacturing careers and manufacturing’s value to the U.S. economy. It is an opportunity for manufacturers to highlight their work and their workers, and to energize a future pipeline of skilled workers.

Supported by a group of industry sponsors and co-producers, Manufacturing Day is also designed to amplify the voice of individual manufacturers and coordinate a collective chorus of manufacturers with common concerns and challenges. Overall, it represents an opportunity for thousands of people around the country to see for themselves that manufacturing is alive and well in America, and needs skilled employees.

This year, ITAC focuses on Inspiring the Next Generation of Manufacturers, to highlight real opportunities in manufacturing and the implications for the workforce.
